Rental Requirements
What are the requirements to rent a van?
To rent a van from BILD Rentals, you must be at least 21 years old, have a valid Australian driver's licence or international permit, provide proof of ID and address, and have a credit card for the security deposit.
Do I need a special licence to drive your vans?
No, our Toyota HiAce vans can be driven with a standard Australian car licence (Class C) or equivalent international permit. No commercial or truck licence is required.
How much is the security deposit?
We require a $500 security deposit on your credit card, which is refundable upon the van's return in the same condition as when it was rented, with a full fuel tank.
Bookings & Cancellations
How far in advance should I book a van?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially during weekends and holidays. However, we'll always try to accommodate last-minute requests based on availability.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup time receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup time are subject to a one-day rental fee.
Can I extend my rental period?
Yes, you can extend your rental period, subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange an extension. Additional charges will apply based on our standard daily rates.
Pickup & Returns
Where can I pick up and return the van?
Our vans are available for pickup and return at our Wattleup location in Perth. The exact address and directions will be provided upon confirmation of your booking.
What are your operating hours?
Our office is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Pickups and returns must be scheduled during these hours unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
Do you offer after-hours pickup or return?
We may be able to accommodate after-hours pickup or return by prior arrangement. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Pricing & Payment
What does the rental price include?
Our rental prices include comprehensive insurance (subject to excess), unlimited kilometres within the Perth metropolitan area, 24/7 roadside assistance, and cleaning. Fuel is not included.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards for both the security deposit and rental payment. We do not accept cash payments.
Are there additional charges for travelling outside the Perth metropolitan area?
For journeys outside the Perth metropolitan area, additional charges may apply. Please inform us of your intended journey when booking so we can advise you of any additional costs.

What is the cargo capacity of your vans?
Our Toyota HiAce vans have a generous cargo capacity of 9.3m³, making them perfect for moving furniture, appliances, or multiple boxes. The vans can carry loads of approximately 1,135kg.
What are the dimensions of the cargo area?
The cargo area dimensions are approximately: Length: 3.2m, Width: 1.7m, Height: 1.7m. These spacious dimensions allow for efficient loading of large items through the barn doors.
Do I need any special licence to drive the van?
No, a standard Australian driver's licence is sufficient to drive our Toyota HiAce vans. They are automatic transmission vehicles, making them easy to drive even if you're not experienced with larger vehicles.
